Park your car at the Sleeping Bear Point Trailhead in Glen Haven, Michigan, once parked find your way to the sign for point of reference with the map. You'll find that the Ghost Forest Trail is a 2.8 mile loop. You can start the loop at the trailhead which is near the bathroom, or at the sign where the map itself is.

Starting from the trailhead by the bathroom, your first 2 miles will be through the deep forest, after which you are spit out onto the sand dunes overlooking Lake Michigan and Glen Haven. The trail will loop back around on the dunes to the parking lot. There is a .2 mile split off access point to Lake Michigan if you fancy dipping your toes in the water. 

Also, if you stop by the ranger station in Glen Haven, you can tag along on a guided tour as well. 

End your hike by stopping in Glen Arbor for ice cream.
