The Best Type of Adventure

One Sunday afternoon...

... a few weeks back, two of my close friends and I made our way down to Bisbee, AZ to shoot - toying with the idea of exploring Douglas, AZ afterward. Now if you've never been to Douglas there isn't much to see, except a whole lot of empty buildings and closed up storefronts - but none the less we said, "why not - let's shoot the wall."

Well - we never made it to the wall. We happened upon a haggard looking vehicle outside a building in downtown, the thing resembled something of a half van/half car. As we were examining the vehical, a man pulled up in a VW Bug asking if we wanted to see his art car museum. Naturally, we said yes.

The photos below are what we experienced upon entering the building. Not only was this human putting together an art car museum - he was curating an 8 room art residency on the top floor. He also owns the building adjacent - where he lives in an old ranch - he explained at some point he is going to connect the two properties with an underground tunnel, which will house a drug trafficking museum.

Next time you tell yourself you can't make your dreams happen, I would take a look at what this human has been able to do.

Experiencing moments like this is the kind of stuff that makes me feel alive.
When you open yourself up to the universe - anything is possible.
